Distressed .
It stands beside me ,
beyond the eye can see.
Envelopes itself around like a snake around a mango tree
Fear coils up its snaky body around me,
attached to me like gold jewellery complimenting every shade of me
like it knew my perfect match – the perfect foundation shade that I couldn’t find in any mayberline
it gleans.
it’s body . so alien to me yet,
it’s body has become my new walls
Fear tightens itself around me like a corset around my lungs,
constantly coiling carelessly uncontrollably
i gasp for air. what are these walls I’ve created?
why is the sky so far away?
Distressed.
It stands beside me,
beyond my eyes can see,
Envelopes itself around like a snake around a mango tree…
like a piece of jewellery that should never be a part of me.
So I command you now!
In the name of Jesus, fear FLEEE!
I am not attached to you, for I choose to be free
I am not attached to you, nor am I bowing down my kness
to something that keeps me away from the victory I can see.
so, repeat after me:
In the name of Jesus, I am Free

Powerful words! In the name of Jesus, I am free!
Such a lovely piece!
