You Are a Work In Progress

“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” Jeremiah 29:11

Progress is something we all strive to see in our lives and for the world around us. We get so hung up on progression to the point we may even lose the chance to enjoy the beauty of the here and now. You’ve probably found yourself wondering when things will move along in your life, get interesting or how much longer it’ll take for you to achieve something others around you already have.

The simple answer to that train of thought is, how much are you willing to trust in God’s leading despite the little to no progress you have made.

Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight. Proverbs 3:5-6

One thing you must know is that you’re a work in progress, pushing yourself beyond what you can handle will lead nowhere, in fact you may even give up right before reaching the finish line. If you have the desire to make progress on your life journey then you’ll have to learn to trust God through it all regardless of how it is currently turning out.

We must also understand that in Him our paths are made straight therefore we can never go the wrong way in life as long as our eyes are on God and not our circumstances or the lack of progression we are experiencing.
