We gather together with family – our gathering is to the Lord.

We share laughter and memories with those we love – our gathering is to the Lord.

We remember all that happened in the year, the good and the bad – our gathering is to the Lord.

We are reminded of those who do not have much to eat – our gathering is to the Lord.

We are reminded of those whose homes have been shattered by war.

We are reminded of those whose homes are under train stations

We are reminded of those who are alone and lonely in their homes.

We are reminded of the vulnerable at these times

Yet our gathering is to the Lord.
