Many troubles come our way,
Most we wish will go away
But they hang around us all-day
And make the soul’s joy give way
For a smile, one will go an extra mile,
To find a place where there’s no guile,
And where the heart knows no bile
But can such a place be found with all of life’s wiles?
We wake up each day filled with hope
Guess that’s what gives us the strength to cope;
So before life sets us on our daily lope,
Sadly, we sometimes return and mope
I ask, is there a place that brings comfort to the soul?
For the soul dip deeper for this, like a hole
So take heed on your quest, lest you woe
From trying to bring joy to your soul
