O mortal man,
Who gave you the right,
To take a life
You cannot give?
O mortal man,
Why descend to an animal?
For in order to prove a point,
You became a beast.
O mortal man,
Seek not man’s acclaim
For your distasteful act,
Rather, pray penance for your soul …
