How to Deal With Anxiety and Fear

Fear can creep in at the most inconvenient moments of life, therefore we must guard and equip ourselves beforehand before it can strike. Today we look into how believers can deal with anxiety and fear effectively.

Get Into The Word

It is common for people who are in the place of anxiety to reach out to others who may not truly understand what they are going through. However, the best thing to do in such a situation is to connect with God, who not only cares about you but knows everything that takes place in our lives, so spend some time in God’s Word today, and learn the principles around fear and anxiety then start putting those to work in your life.

Change Up Your Habits

Anxiety may spark horrible habits in lives such as distancing from communities, friends or other social groups our of fear, which only serves to cause us to run away from what makes us anxious and lose out on opportunities. The bible tells us that perfect love casts out fear [1 John 4:18], so exercise your faith right now to change up the habits you’ve learnt in this season of anxiety.

Protect Your Mind

There are a number of ways to guard your mind from unhelpful and unfruitful thoughts, but the best way like stated before, is to mediate on the Word of God day and night as stated in Joshua 1:8. In doing so, you’ll be prepared when worry or anxious thoughts come your way, and develop faith for trials ahead of you.
