We remember today

What was done thousand years ago

For our freedom

A sacrifice initiated

In our absence

Yet became the essence

Of our existence

This initiation was intended

To alley our fears

And strengthen our resolve

So that when we eventually need saving

The process would speak easily

For He didn’t want us stranded

No, He didn’t!

We learned commitment

We saw resilience

That the God of Heaven

Would find us

Worthy recipients of

His matchless and purest love

Such honour!
