If all the time I spend in worry,
I can but His praise ascribe,
Maybe I will see
His beauty and mercies described…
If in pain and sorrow,
My tears roll down with no relief,
I hope my soul finds comfort
In God, who has given me reprieve…
If in laughter and plenty
My heart merries daily,
I pray that I do not think thus:
“By mine hand, have I this plenty“
If in exchange for my soul,
I am given to vanity,
I pray that I seek redress
And turn to God Almighty…
