Pearls are precious

Gold is costly

Diamonds are beautiful

Silver is outstanding

But the one who has arrows

Is the most blessed

They are a defense against

Life’s fiercest tides

They are a reward from the Lord

Receive them joyfully

Cherish them wholly

Rejoice in their coming

For partnership with the Master

Is an absolute honour

Yearn for it

Expect it

And when given

Embrace it

Nurture it

For what is trust

If it can’t be expressed

So let him who has them feast

And let him who hopes never give up in waiting

For surely you shall not be shamed

At the city gates

On the day of adversity
