Sometimes, I want to go towards
The flashing lights
The blitz and glitz
But then I fear,
That it may blind me…
Other times, I want to hold
What I can’t have
I don’t care if its too weighty
But then I fear,
It may be weigh me down…
Many times, I wish to have
And this time to hold,
The best life offers
But then I hope,
I don’t end up with pyrite…
I hope I see things,
For what they are
And not be deceived
By my eyes.
I hope I don’t live in a mirage…
