DEAR AUTUMN

Under autumn’s glare,
I sat like a pupil
Taking in the picturesque
Of yellow leaves,
That were tossed by the winds
I felt the calm breeze
Gently passing by,
I sat by the peaceful stream,
That gave life to a fountain.
Such beauty, one can’t fathom…

Once again, I am reminded
Why I fell in love with autumn,
Her captivating beauty
That rained leaves
Of purple, amber, brown and yellow;
Her captivating beauty
That gently lulls me,
Her soft touch
Slowly embracing me,
Her warmth, how tender
More touching than the bard’s ode.
Shall I compare thee to a summer’s day?
Nay! For no summer’s day can be compared to thee
O beautiful autumn…
