Overwhelmed and unable to breathe

Enjoying the company of brethren
Without saying a word
Walking through deep waters
And not being scared of death.

Going against the tide
Even when the journey is fierce
Doing absolutely nothing
In the face of danger—because
You know God can

Sometimes faith is
Whispering prayers in the dark
Steadying your heart when the world shakes
Quietly trusting when answers don’t come
