Too often, we live as in the days of Noah—
believing no storm is coming,
no evil is near.
We move through life unaware,
ignoring the quiet warnings around us.

But the Word of God reminds us:
“Your enemy, the devil, prowls around
like a roaring lion,
seeking whom he may devour.”

To live blind, deaf, and silent to this truth
is to leave yourself open—
unguarded, unprepared,
vulnerable to his lies and schemes.

So be alert, child of God.
Do not live as though
the battle isn’t real.
Guard your heart with truth,
keep your spirit awake.

Stand firm in faith,
watchful and ready,
for the Lord still calls His own
to live with eyes open
and hearts set on Him.
