Who Will Answer?

At dawn’s call,
The farmer goes to his field
And while he tills,
They come in their horde
Chanting, Shouting
He’s scared. Frantic.
But they smile, laugh and sneer
He pleads and pleads before he’s killed
But who will answer?

In one accord they gathered,
Worshipping and praising the Lord
Then the agents of hades came in
Guns blazing! Chanting Allahu Akbar
The laity and clergy, panicked, ducked
The had no physical weapons
To defend themselves against these monsters,
And they pleaded as they were taken away
But who will answer?

They abducted them at night
From an institution of learning
Their thumping hearts
Could be heard over the noise,
Filled with fear, filled with uncertainty,
Will anyone come to their rescue?
Does anyone know what happened?

I wish I could answer,
But who will answer?

A government that hates it people
Who sympathises with evil
And claps at wickedness
Sits atop the land of my birth.
While her citizens suffer,
They mock and laugh at them
The people are tired and weary
They itch for relief and cry,
But who will answer?
