A man’s strength
His strength lies beneath his muscles and his smile,
He lays in the arms of God,
fragile yet secured
because he knows his maker.

He clothes himself with the armour of Truth
and the breastplate of humility
He does not command respect,
respect follows him as those that see him,
see the crown upon his head

His comfort is in his Queen.
He lies beneath her soft words as he opens up to her,
one layer
at a time.
Peeling away the onion layers he calls his guard.
In her, his confidence grows.
