I once felt strong, dear heart
What happened to your walls?
Has a shout brought you down?
As that of Jericho
Leaving you bare,
Naked and exposed.
I feel like a dartboard
Target practice for archery.
But why, dear heart?

Who shouted so loud at you?
That you got afraid
That left you shaken
Brought down your defenses to rubble.
Oh, the noise again,
From a distance it echoed
Causing a tremor
Oh heart, where is your balance?
For why is it that each time you hear that voice?
Your defenses are lost
And your guard broken…
