Olufunmi’s intro

As for God, his way is perfect; the word of the Lord is tried: he is a buckler to all them that trust in him.
2 Samuel 22:31 KJV

God is perfect – short video

To be perfect is to be faultless, flawless, infallible, accurate….

The perfection of God speak of his character & his ways
2Samuel 22:31 says As for God his ways is perfect, the word of the Lord is tried, he is a shield to all those who trust and take refuge in Him
Psalm 19:7 also tells us the instructions of the Lord are perfect, reviving the soul & the decree of the Lord are trustworthy

God’s attributes of His power, His selfless love, His Omniscient nature, being unchangeable, & his sense of timing are the revelations of His perfection in the scripture

The omniscience of God means that he has perfect knowledge, perfect understanding & perfect wisdom….
God’s knowledge is without limit; Apostle Paul declared in Romans 11:33 oh the depth of the riches, both of the wisdom & knowledge of God, how unsearchable are His judgment and his ways past finding out

He knows the present(Exodus 3:7)
He knows things from the past(act 15:8)
He also can predict the future ahead of time(Isaiah 46:10)

God can indeed gift us his wisdon, James 1:5 says if any of you lack wisdom he should ask God who gives generously to all without finding & it will giving to him
Without wisdom, life can be thorny, our human wisdom can lead us into more trouble & life can seem very unfair

The righteous saviour has bridged the gap between the imperfect man & a perfect God with infinite wisdom….If we can turn out heart to him & allow his words to guide us, we will have a life totally embraced with God’s infinite wisdom

1John 4:7-8 bible says that love is of God & God is love…..everything God does is impelled & influenced by His live
John 4:18 says there is no fear in love, but perfect love cast out fear

Because fear has to do with punishment, the one who fear us not made perfect in love.
Verese 17 says this is how love is made complete among us so that we will have confidence on the day of Judgement; in this world we are like Jesus

The fear that perfect love cast out is the fear of God’s Judgement, we know that judgement day is coming but those who are in Christ know the love of God which drives away the fear of condemnation (romans 8:1)

The dismissal of the fear of Judgement is one of the main functions of God’s love…the person without Christ is under God’s Judgement & has plenty to fear(John 3:17)

Understanding the love of God is knowing that God’s Judgement fell on Jesus at the criss so that we can be spare,
God has laid on him the iniquity of us all(Isaiah 53:6)
That divine love should take away our fear….don’t be afraid little flock for your father has been pleased to give you the kingdom(Luke 12:32)

Also, God has perfect timing as in never early, never late and God is never in a hurry but he’s always on time….

Have you been waiting on God or trusting Him for somethings?
Perhaps praying passionately about but nothing seems to be happening….

From Luke 10:38-42, we can deduce that Martha & Mary were so closed to Jesus & he was also a good friend to their brother Lazarus

I’m sure they had complete faith that when they sent a message to Jesus about Lazarus predicament, the situation would soon be resolved; after allthey knew Jesus was capable of healing their brother& since they were his followers it seemed like a slam dunk

In Luke 11; there was a delay Jesus didn’t move immediately to heal Lazarus, he stayed he was for the next 2days, Mary & Martha had to be heartbroken, they had to be questioning their faith in Jesus
When they needed him most, he was a no-show he let their brother died
He could have healed Lazarus but he didn’t

Still…..God is never too late

But God has something greater in mind

Jesus called Lazarus out of the tomb when all hope seems lost, Jesus makes a way, he wasn’t late he was just using Lazarus’ situation to glorify God
As he could have healed Lazarus early on, but he wanted to do something greater, he wanted to do something that we will still be talking about thousands of years later….

Whatever your situation, remember God is never too late he has a plan, though might not be your plan and it might not turn out the way you expect or want but he will not fail you, he has something greater in mind

We need to be praying for eyes to see the greater things

God being unchangeable also demonstrate his perfection;
God’s character is unchanged (Malachi 3:6)
God’s nature is unchanged(Hebrew 1:12)
God is never unfair towards Mankind(Act 17:31) God will judge humankind based upon the the standard that he has set down in the scripture, God will not change those standard for all his judgement will be fair
God’s purposes does not change(Roman 9:11, Hebrew 6:17)
Job 23: 13 says but he’s unique and who can turn him and what Hus souls desire that he does
Psalm 33:11 also says the counsel of the Lord stands forever, the thoughts of his heart to all generations
God’s promises also do not change(number 23:19)

God cannot lie nor make mistakes, all possible hindrances to the accomplishments of His purposes are revealed James 1: 25 But if you look carefully into the perfect law that sets you free, and if you do what it says and don’t forget what you heard, then God will bless you for doing it.
