Prayer: Heavenly Father, thank you for this blessed day that You have given us, we thank you for this time to share Your Word with one another, help us to understand and use me to deliver the message You have for your people in Jesus name, amen.
Scripture Reading: I waited upon the lord; he inclined to me and heard my cry. [Psalm 40: 81]
Life is filled with waiting moments and naturally we like to walk through fast lanes to get to where we really want to go, and when we find that the Lord wants us to slow down or wait a while and so we become frustrated, but this should not be so. [John 13:7]
Moments like these can cause us to feel like we should ask why the long wait, or if what we have asked is In Godʼs will, especially when we consider the amount of time it has taken to receive what we ask for. [Proverbs 3:5-6]
Such times like these we must remember that God isnʼt slow to fulfil His promises nor has a deaf ear toward our cries. I remember someone once said “delay does not mean denial” meaning that we could receive what we are asking for if we only continue to wait on the Lord. [Psalm 27:14]
As believers we must continue to practice patience, itʼs only through patience that grow our character and ultimately grow in hope.[Romans 5:4-6]
Prayer: Thank you Lord for the message, help us to recall the Word you give us throughout our day, and aid us to be patience in every area of our lives in Jesus name, amen.
