Scripture Reading
But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for his own possession, that you may proclaim the excellencies of him who called you out of darkness into his marvellous light.
1 Peter 2:9 [ESV]
The circumstances around and the people we choose to be around can sometimes cause us to think differently about ourselves. Chances are you’ve probably allowed negativity to alter your persona dynamically, whether verbally spoken or actions openly displayed to you in hopes to hurt or put you to shame.
Our response is crucial as it will determine our mindset in the long run and at times, our relationship with the Lord. Always remember that God made you, and only He knows what you are truly capable of achieving in life. In Christ, we should place our identity, not on any trends, or mere words said by friends or family or the partner we choose to be with, and not even those in positions of power.
Knowing this will change your associations, mindset and over all your life’s direction.
