Heartfelt Wonder
Blessings rain down on our heads every morning; the Lord is gracious and loves to show us His many wonders throughout the day. So my heart was lured into writing a new song, a blissful melody. Like the other songs I’ve written in the past, the beats came naturally to my spirit.
Soon after, I was compelled to sing it aloud in front of the church building with my piano in hand. I took out the sheet music and placed it on the keyboard. A few people glared in my direction. Some even stayed around to see what was going to happen next.
Once I took out the lyrics and held them in front of me, I felt a strong wave of courage flow up within me, and I went ahead to speak boldly the words written on the piece of paper and played each note on my keyboard smoothly. Midway through the song, a crowd gathered and started swaying to and fro, then suddenly, a couple with a prestigious persona stood out amongst the crowd and captured my attention swiftly.
The two shortly made themselves known as they clapped the loudest then offered to settle the arguments regarding the church and be a sponsor to keep the doors open for many years. The crowd became divided but was swiftly silenced as the couple spoke to them concerning the importance of the church.
After days had passed, the church bells rang loudly once more, and like before, the crowd gathered and filled the space, voicing out praises to the Lord cheerfully and truthfully.
