Learn to be Teachable

This is a repost of a devotional posted on my personal social media. I hope this teaching builds you up and inspires you as you walk with the Lord.

All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right. God uses it to prepare and equip his people to do every good work. 2 Timothy 3:16-17 (NLT)

Devotional

Every day is a fresh opportunity for us to learn something new. Every place you turn to is a lesson waiting to be found; whether you check through social media, watch television or observe nature itself, you are bound to find something to learn. Even those around us can help bring about a new viewpoint on what we go through or express their opinion on our identity or who we should be.

Though we may run or at times depend on these sources, the Bible clarifies that it is the place to find the truth; through God’s Word, we are equipped to do every good work and obtain correction. Take a moment today to study the word of God for yourself and discover a new truth for your life. You’ll always learn more in the Lord as long as you remain teachable and willing to accept correction when that moment arrives.
