Daily,
I have the choice
To do something
Sadly, ifs and buts
Give me reasons not to
Surely, it can tarry
Surely, it can wait
Another time,
I am yet again,
Given a new opportunity,
But I hear ifs and buts
Silently whisper to me
Pay it no attention, for now,
Indeed, it would be there at dawn
Today,
I would do what I ought,
And give no excuse,
To ifs and buts
Indeed, there is no reason
To give into slothfulness
To listen to laziness…
