Just yesterday,
I smelt rain again.
How I had missed it,
That earthy smell.
It took me back –
Back when I was younger,
When at the scent of rain,
I would dash home,
Snuggle under the blanket,
While rain drops in harmony
Leaving images
Of endless concentric circles
As lightning flashes its smile
With resounding thunder.
How I had missed it.
Just yesterday,
I smelt rain again.
What has been a scent,
Is now a fragrance of nostalgia
Lingering in my thought…
