Learning to heal 2

In the last post, I explained what healing is ways to heal.

I just want to mention that healing is important as it sets us free. Forgiving is free and it is very liberating. Holding onto grudges doesn’t help anyone and it can even affect our health. This is why healing is important.

I know of many people who have been hurt in one way or the other and it breaks my hearts seeing them disintegrate because of the situation.

Hurt people hurt people. This is a fact. Unless we focus on healing and dealing with our issues and demons, we will end up hurting others along the way. I had this experience and until today I wish I didn’t hurt that person the way I did. I was blinded by my own actions because I was seeking comfort and help but, the help I needed only came from God and not man.

Some of us need to understand that Jesus is the number 1 healer – he should be our go to in these situations. He knows us better than we know ourselves and he understands what betrayal feels and what hurt feels like – he was once like us – he understands.

Isaiah 53:5 King James Version (KJV)

But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.

Also, some of our situations begin in the spiritual side and then, manifests in the physical.

Ephesians 6:12 King James Version (KJV)

12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

So fighting against things of the physical is almost pointless as it doesn’t address the root of the problem. True healing gets to the root of the problem. It is very painful but very rewarding as you learn more about who you are through the process.

Today, I want you to invite Jesus into your situation and ask him to reveal the root of the problem and make you whole.

Remember that: “He is able, abundantly able, to deliver and to save. He is able abundantly able, to deliver those who trust in him

So I ask you today, to trust in Jesus, let him be in that boat with you as you face your storm. I promise you, he won’t let you down. With him and through him, you shall be healed. Amen
