There abide moments
Of great and small,
In man’s life’s journey.
Many wish to dwell
In the great
Than in the least
For we merry in abundance.
But I have seen
When great are weary
And wish they had little
Just a little more time
A little more space
A little smile from their kids
A little more holding of the hand

From their spouse
A little family dinner
Instead of distinguished gala nights
A little more church time
Instead of giving speeches
A little less interviews
To tell a bedtime story
A little less flying
For a family outing
A little more quiet
To hear from God
How great we forsake little
And regret it on our dying beds
