The broken soul

Part two of A voice of a broken soul..

Can a soul actually be broken? That I do not know but, I do know that it can be weighed down

We each have different thresholds for things and we each have different breaking points. What binds most of them is how we heal from them. Do we ignore the hurt and move on? Or does it turn into emotional trauma.

I’ll give an example. One might have a fear of spiders because of 1 event that scared them. And from then, they fear the thought and even sight of them. To overcome such fear, one has to rewire how we see spiders and so on.

Similar thing with some emotional trauma. We either chose to remember the experience and see life through the same lense or, we can move forward away from the trap.

Reflect

Do you have a fear?

When was it conceived?

What’s stopping you from overcoming that fear ?

Fear can be dangerous and also good. It can help us stay away from bad thing but, it can turn us into its prisoner. Some even find comfort in their own fear.

Fear shouldn’t be your comfort zone.

It shouldn’t create unknown and unexplainable barriers in your life.

For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Jeremiah 29:11
