There were times
When life was simpler,
When we took time
To take in the sunset,
When we enjoyed
The songs of the birds,
And waved back
At the happy leaves,
Those times existed
When we enjoyed
Each other’s company,
And weren’t in a hurry
To say goodbye,
There were times,
Family hurdled together
And watched the television,
And not isolate in our rooms
I wish we would capture,
Not just on camera,
But in our hearts
Special moments we share,
I wish we would have human touch,
Not just emojis
For such times…
They made us laugh,
They made us smile,
They made us human…
