Scripture Reading

[Romans 12:2] Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect. [English Standard Version]

Each day we face the challenge of dealing with the varying voices that speak to us each day, as believers we are given the choice to either listen to God or to others whether that be through media or our closest friends/ family.

For us to hear God I believe that we should wear a certain hat before, during or after making a choice, but before doing so we must change the way we think concerning how or better yet when to bring a matter to the Lord.

Most of the time we usually leave God out of the equation or consult Him after a choice has already been established or we would rather have the opinion of a friend/family member than that of God, we must remember that we may make the plans but only God can determine our step [Proverbs 16:9 NLT]

It will always be a benefit to us as believers to talk over a matter to the Lord and wait for an answer before any choice should be made, doing so will bring our ear closer to God and help us trust Him further as we continue this walk of faith.

Let’s Pray

Thank you Lord for love you show to us each and every day, help us to exercise patience as we wait upon you when making a decision today, direct us in the way that we should go in Jesus name, Amen.
